Twenty Minutes from Brockton

Twenty Minutes from Brockton

I grew up in Boston, just twenty minutes north of Brockton, Massachusetts. Around here, boxing wasn't something you discovered on television. It was passed down.

Brockton gave the world Marvelous Marvin Hagler, forged under the Petronelli brothers. My father, Bobby Everett, came through that same New England fight culture, training under Paul Roach and alongside his sons, Pepper and Freddie Roach.

Freddie and my Pops would even get called in to spar with Hagler when his trainers needed particular work in camp.

Those gyms weren't glamorous. Sweat. Old canvas. Heavy bags. Men who didn't talk about toughness because they lived it.

Different gyms. Different corners. Same fight culture.

That's the lineage behind Box Total.

We didn't borrow boxing for the aesthetic. We come from it.
